September 8th - 11th

Wednesday;
Today we had a matinee performance so we needed to get up a bit earlier so we could get ready. We had breakfast and got dressed. We walked to the theater which took exactly 17 minutes. After warm-up we got into costume. I was going to be Annie in the afternoon and I was excited. The show went very well but the audience were pathetic. Halfway through the bows they stopped clapping and Su Pollard said from in the wings 'Carry on you fools' she didn't mean it though! When I came for my bow they managed to start clapping again and stifled a small cheer. Poor David and Simone hardly got a clap at all. The evening performance went very well and there was a good audience too. Simone and David got a bigger cheer which made them happy. We got a taxi home and went straight to bed after an IChat with mum and dad.

Thursday;
Today we could once again have a lie in but not for too long because the tutor was coming. She was half an hour late so we finished at 3:00. After tutoring we went to the pool we went to on Tuesday. Sadly they were in the middle of draining it for the end of summer holidays. The man draining it stopped draining so we could have a paddle. After our paddle we went into the park where we went on swings and poles. I was Annie in the evening performance and the audience were much much much better I was so tired I went straight to bed ready for the tutor in the morning. Provided she was on time.

Friday;
We only had another evening performance today so we had almost a free day. We had the tutor who was late again then we spent some time just hanging around in the apartment. We got ready early because Lydia wanted to go to Claire's Accessories. When we were there Lydia and Susan got us both a friendship bracelet and locket. We then went to the fabric shop where Lydia chose a string for her new purse so she could tie it around her neck. We went to the pound shop so Susan could get some cans of coke before we went to the theater. I was Annie and we had another great performance.

Saturday;
The last day in Reading. We had enjoyed Reading a lot. It was a really nice place but the theater was a bit small. The performances had not been the same without the stairs and the car. We didn't have the tutor because it was the weekend but we had a matinee so we had to get ready early. Lydia was Annie in the matinee which went well and I was sad to be playing Tessie for the last time because i wasn't going to be able to spend much time with the 'awesome orphans' when I was playing Annie. Dad took me to Nando's for tea before the evening performance. We made it into the theater just in time for the half call. We speedily got ready and had a fab closing show.

September 4th - 7th

Saturday;
Today was really fun because I was a home and I could just relax and for get everything. We had a very lazy morning just moping about at home. When we got dressed we went into Chester to find a replacement bracelet for one mum lost. We spent ages in Chester and when we were in the center we had a call from Linda asking if I was home and if I would like to go and rehearse with the bitesize orphans. So when we had been in all the shops and found mum some new bracelets we headed for bitesize. The rehearsals were fab and the bitesize orphans were really good considering they had only been rehearsing a few weeks. Lauren came home with us and had a sleepover.

Sunday;
I woke up before Lauren and read my book whilst I waited for her. She woke up quite a while later then we mucked about in bed. We lazed around all and didn't do much and when we eventually got dressed we took my dogs for a walk around alan waters country park in Bradly. I was sad to see Lauren go home again but in some ways I was excited for the next day when I would be going o Reading. I had a bath and helped mum pack when I got back in and had an early night.

Monday;
I had to get up early this morning to go to Reading. We had a really long journey down and when we arrived at our apartment we were greeted by Lydia and her parents outside. The apartment is ok but not amazing. We sat around for a bit before we all trooped to the theater to meet everyone. The theater is so small we can't have the stairs or the car on stage so we have to make do without. The orphans are very nice at first when I saw them I thought they would be more stage school girls but no they are so nice and we will nickname them the awesome orphans. We went to burger King for tea as a special treat. We had a quick tech and sound check to make sure all was clear with everyone. The show went alright and afterwards dad gave us a taxi ride home. We all went to bed a midnight. Good Morning everyone sleep well!

Tuesday;
Today I had to get up to do my school work. I did some maths and english. We got dressed to go for a walk by the Thames. We found an amazing park with a paddling pool and we spent ages there. After we reluctantly left we went to Starbucks. We made our way back and got our bags ready for the show. The orphans turned up for warm-up with their costumes and mics on with their hairs done no wonder they were late. The show went fabulously this evening and we had an earlier night.

Wednesday 1 September 2010

August 31st - September 3rd

Tuesday;
Today I had to get up quite early so we could get to Milton Keynes. I had a very long journey with mum and we stopped half way at the services. When we finally arrived we picked up Lydia and Susan at the train station. We then had a short drive to the stage door to pick up the apartment keys. When we finally saw our apartment we loved it. It was very modern and hi tech. We spent some time chilling when Molly arrived before we went to the theater to meet the orphans.

We loved the orphans and they were so fun and nice we couldn't wait to see what they were like on stage. The little girl who played molly was so cute she was six and was very good for her age. We spent quite some time doing sound checks and rehearsing before we prepared for opening night. I was Tessie not Annie but I enjoyed it anyway. So much for a bad dress/tech a good show. Our dress/tech was a disaster and so was the show. Su Pollard's mic came on when Lydia started singing Maybe and the cloth came in late and nearly knocked the orphans out. Not bad in one night, Huh? After a tiring show we went home and almost straight away to bed.

Wednesday;
Pinch, punch first day of the month, says Molly when we wake up. (Something like that anyway.) I was so excited because not only was I going to be playing Annie in the matinee but on Thursday I was going home to start on my first day of high school! I ate breakfast, got dressed and packed my bag in about an hour. (I'm not a morning person.) After a couple of minute walk we came to the theater. We signed in and went straight to the dressing room, after a short delay because we wanted to stroke Danny and Suzie, so almost straight there. We got our jazz shoes on and went down for warm up with the rest of the cast. Caroline is a really good dance captain and does a really fun warm up. Jamie is really good at accompanying our vocal warm up too. We ran up stairs afterwords and threw on our costumes. We were ready before we even had the 15 minute call, wigs and all! The show went so well which I was very thankful for and the crowd gave a huge cheer for me at the end, of course the silly dog got a bigger one than me! Oh well I guess I should learn to be more dog like, Huh?! Mum and I had tea with the others then we had a long home. I had an early - ish night to be ready for the first day of school in the morning.

Thursday and Friday...
have been spent in school which was very fun. On Thursday I almost missed the bus on the way home and when I was in the bus the bus driver forgot to shut the bus' doors. So we were on a bus going at 40mph with doors wide open. How not to be safe on a bus me thinks. Today was good fun because it was like a proper school day with all the changing of class'. In science we even lit bunsen burners!
